Information Institute of Information Academy of Machinery Industry (hereafter referred to as Institute) has got ample sci-tech literature resources that involves fields as machinery, electrician, automobile, instrument, automatization and relevant economic, management fields. The literature include about 1500 foreign-language-medium journals, over 7500 symposiums of foreign-language-medium conferences, over 1000 Chinese journals, all of China’s national standards and relevant industry standards, as well as more than 100,000 Chinese and foreign-language-medium books. Here functions as browsing varied literature resources, abstracting relevant literature etc. are available. |

The Institute has established the Global Electromechanical Abstracts Database that contains about 800,000 entries of abstracts in Spanish, Japanese, Russian and those rendered into Chinese; has established a standard electromechanical database in China; and is building the Abstracts Database for Core Electromechanical Journals in Chinese. Here functions as searching abstracts of relevant literature from database etc. are available. |

For years, entrusted by clients, the institute has collected, compiled and delivered large amounts of special abstracts, of which about 400 previously delivered are displayed here. Some of the literatures related to these special abstracts are articles on foreign-language-medium journals, some are on foreign-language-medium symposiums, some on Chinese journals, and some are Chinese patent documents.

Rooted in automobile market, automobile sci-tech portal, with serving enterprises in automobile industry as its starting point, serves all enterprises and organizations of automobile manufacture, selling, research and those related to automobile. The content construction gives priority to foreign sci-tech and trade information resources, as well as facilitating literature utilization by the industry, improving utilization efficiency virtually, achieving real optimization of literature resources construction with professional information services. It has an independent large network platform. Taking advantage of literature resources related to automobile sci-tech from home and abroad that are owned by National Science and Technology Library, it integrates varied journals, symposiums, technical reports and network information resources, has built a comprehensive automobile sci-tech information platform that is useful and efficient in the country, delivers high-quality individualized information services for governments, enterprises and other users. |

Recommend distinctive books collected by the Institute to readers, which mainly include: books of industry and market analysis category, sci-tech management category, economic and social research category, enterprise assessment category, planning, policy and regulation category, enterprise directory category and product catalogue category. Besides general bibliography, it also displays introductions to books and table of contents, and for some books, even goes further to the sub- table of contents of each chapter. |

The institute has compiled and published ample information products that fall into categories of literature abstracts, information research and information data. About 400 special abstracts and 18 abstracts bimonthlies are powerful tools for exploring information resources of sci-tech literature and searching literature source texts. Large numbers of industrial sci-tech reports and information research reports are intended for providing the information on state-of-art and developing trend of foreign manufacturing industry needed for national industry development. Plus numbers of collected materials of foreign product samples and enterprise directory, which help readers know better about foreign enterprises and their products.
The Institute has also edited and published Industrial References (monthly), Selective Information on Anti-dumping and Countervailing Safeguards (semimonthly),
Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (Chinese edition, monthly), and
Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (English edition,
bimonthly). |
