Ning Ruxin, is a professor, doctoral adviser of Beijing Institute of Technology, born in May 1942. In 1965, graduated from Department of Precision Instruments, Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1986, received PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Berlin. She became Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology in 1989 and worked as Vice-President of Beijing Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1999.

Now as an Academically-Chairman of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology, President of Production Engineering Society of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Member of Advance Manufacturing Technology Group of General Equipment Ministry, Academically-Chairman of Chinese Key Laboratory for Flexible Manufacturing, etc.

Professor Ning has made important contributions to development of mechanical engineering research and education，especially in the field of digital design and manufacturing, flexible manufacturing, virtual manufacturing and production management, etc. She has published over 150 research papers and 7 monographs. In addition, she has been awarded the first, second and third prize by Ministry twice respectively.
