Born in Anhui Province on April 1, 1938. And enrolled in the machinery department of Harbin Institute of Technology in 1958, then graduated in 1963 in Northeast Institute of Heavy Machinery. In 1978, became a lecturer, then an associate professor, professor, tutor of doctor in 1982, 1987, 1993, respectively. From 1977 to 1984, worked as Director of Hydraulic Institute of Northeast Institute of Heavy Machinery; and the associate director of Metallurgical and Machinery Department from 1984 to 1986. Then as an associate Director and Director of the Machinery Department of Yanshan University. From 1988 to 1992, appointed as Principal Assistant of Yanshan University. From 1992 to 1995, worked as a Vice Present of Yanshan University. In 1995, elected as Present of Yanshan University, and worked until 2003.

In his academic career, Professor Wang engaged in metallurgical mechanical automation, fluid power transmission and control, and science research for a long time.
