1) All records of members' information are in two different datasheets of the same database. Readers and
authors (contributors) information is in one datasheet, while that of experts and administrators is in another. Reader,
author and expert members go under the general name of external members, while editor and administrator members go under the name of internal members.
2) External and internal memberships can share the same information, i.e. they can contain information of the same person who might have different kinds of memberships, or just one kind of membership, e.g. expert members can also register as reader members, and reader members automatically become
author members right after their successful submission of manuscripts. One can register as and login with different memberships, though contributions can only be submitted by
authors, and review can only be done by experts.
3) Reader members are surely those who have never successfully submit contributions online, whereas right after their first successful submission, the system will add
author membership to their records. Expert members have to register as reader members before submitting contributions online.
4) Only members of the corresponding class can access the corresponding work area, i.e. only
author members can login to the “Contributors Work Area”, only expert members can login to the “Experts Work Area”, only editor members can login to the “Editors Work Area”, and only administrator members can login to the “Administrators Work Area”.
5) All kinds of members can “read (or download) articles”, and enter “translation work area for sci-tech literature”. Non-members have to register before they can read (or download) articles, or enter translation work area for sci-tech literature.
6) Experts, editors and administrators are selected by the Editorial Office who do not have to register and cannot change personal information by themselves except their user names and passwords. In case the information needs change, they have to formally inform the Editorial Office, and the information will be changed by administrator when confirmed by the Editorial
Office.
7) Readers and authors personal information are filled in and confirmed by themselves when they register, which can be changed online.
8) All members personal information filled in in registration (e.g. names, mail addresses, ID numbers etc.) must be real and valid, since they are related to increase and decrease of points (i.e. charges and payment).
