Abstract: In this paper a more universal form of Reynolds equation which could be capable of applying to any lubricant was developed considering the effects that are caused by the shear stress, the difference between first normal stresses and the memory function in viscoelastic non-Newtonian fluid. The three nonlinear functions that are involved in above equation, t. c. stree function, first normal stress function and differential viscosity have different solution depend on characteristic of non-Newtonian lubricant medium.
