Abstract:
At present, the effects of surface elastic deformation due to oil
pressure on the load-carrying characteristics of high-pressure
hydrostatic bearing are not considered when designing this kind of
bearing. And there are much more differences between the theory and
practice, which may even results in the failure of the lubrication of
hydrostatic bearing. In this paper, the pressure distribution of the oil
film and the load-carrying characteristics of high pressure hydrostatic
bearing are analyzed on the basis of considering the oil viscosity
effect and the effect of pressure on elastic deformation of bearing
surface, and which are verified by the experiment of laser photo elastic
procedure. So a new calculation theory, the elastohydrostatic
lubrication theory is presented in this paper for the designing of high
pressure hydrostatic bearing.
