Abstract:
A new shape optimization method using boundary element sub region
technique is presented in the paper, which is suitable for the shape
optimization of mechanical element. Linear boundary element is used to
calculate the displacements, tangent stresses on boundary of structure.
Sensitivity of displacement, stress is formulated. Formulas of effect
matrix and tractions on the internal boundary in detail. A part of
boundary of lift arm of a loader is re-designed to minimize the maximum
stress on the boundary.
