Abstract:
Starting from the trend of development of the heavy forgings,
control of qualities and saving of energy resources, this paper has
taken the least ratio of forging reduction as a comprehensive criterion
for laying down the technological process for heavy forgings,
experimentally determined the least ratio for the FM method of drawing
and introduced a concrete instance of forging heavy backing rolls, by
which two rolls have been forged successfully from ingots weighing 100
tons with ratio of reduction just being 2.25 and thus a great deal of
energy saved.
