Abstract:
This paper introduces the algorithms of tilt angle and cutter
location for five axis NC end milling, and analyzes the machining errors
which include liner approaching error and cutter axis tilt error. A new
compensation algorithm for cutter axis tilt machining error, the cutting
point offset algorithm, is presented. At last, the formula of feed
length, feed width and cutter radius are given.
