DISTRIBUTION OF NITROGEN IN GRAY CAST IRON

Abstract: The distribution of nitrogen during solidification process of Fe-C-Si-Ma gray cast iron was revealed by using WDX and AES. The existence of nitrogen in ferrite and cemenlite was studied by measuring the change of the crystal lattice size with x-ray diffraction procedure.
