ELASTOPLASTIC STRESS ANALYSIS OF AUTOFRETTAGED INTERNAL CONE-CYLINDER PRESSURE VESSEL

Abstract: This paper firstly presents one mixed hardening material model of high strength steel by means of tension-compression experiment and proposes the non-linear BEM implementation for calculating the loading stress-strains and unloading residual stress-strains of the autofrettaged thick walled internal cone shape-cylinder pressure vessel. Then, the stress fields along axis and radial direction re obtained. The comparison with results of autofretiaged experiment and large FEM program ADINA is given finally.
