RESEARCH ON SIMPLE SHEAR TEST AND BAUSCHINGER EFFECT OF SHEET METAL

Abstract: Plane shear defemation is an important factor governing the deformation behavior of sheet metal. In this paper, first, the characteristics of a newly-designed testing device for simple sheer deformation in plane are described. Second, according to the test, the stress-strain curves for three kinds of aluminlum sheet metals (LY12M, LF21M, LC4M) are obtained and discussed in connection with the planar anisotropy of material behavior in the-plane simple shear and uniaxial tensile characteristics. Third, Bauschinger effect in simple shear deformation is measured.
