Abstract:
The metallurgical structure of the flash welded joint with aluminium
forging has been investigated. The main reason, causing the forming of
the bright area in the joint, is the difference of the form of structure
constituents between the joint and the base metal. The bright area in
the joint can be removed through the post solution treatment.
