Abstract:
The method
is proposed for sensitivity of dynamic behavior of a helical gear pair.
The dynamics model of the helical geared system accounts for the shaft
and bearing flexibility, the dynamic coupling among the transverse,
torsional, axial and rotational (rocking) motions due to the gear mesh.
The formulas of sensitivities of natural frequencies and dynamic teeth
flexibility are derived with respect to supporting structural parameters
of a helical gear pair. An example is given to illustrate the procedure.
The method proposed is of practical importance in the optimization
design or modification of helical geared systems.
