Abstract:
The
maintenance of a stable keyhole during PAW welding process is of
critical importance and the ultimate quality of the weld and the process
stability depend strongly on the keyhole stability. A compact arc light
sensor is developed based on the spectroscopic study on the plasma arc.
By using this sensor, information concerning the keyhole formation and
keyhole collapse could been extracted. The makeup of the arc light
sensor, physical model of arc light sending and signal characteristics,
are discussed.
