Abstract:
After the force condition of droplet transfer is analyzed, the effects
of the composition and technology parameter of self-shielded flax-cored
wire (SSFCW) on the modes of droplet transfer are investigated. The
results indicate that spray transfer and granular transfer may be
promoted by adding a surface active agent or raising the C, O content in
the flux core. The welding current and voltage affect the are force on
the droplet. The short circuit non-explosion transfer and explosion
transfer may be enlarged with the increase of current. The short circuit
explosion transfer and granular transfer may be increased when voltage
rises. The current and voltage also have an influence on the transfer
time that affects the protective result and welding spatter.
