Abstract:
A new
method to implement autobalance with active magnetic bearings is
presented. The effect of the rotor’s imbalance is looked as putting
disturbance voltage vectors into power amplifiers. The compensation
voltage vectors with proper amplitudes and phases are put into the power
amplifiers to cancel out the effect of the rotor’s imbalance, thus the
rotor rotates around the principle axis of inertin. Experiments show
that this method is very effective.
