AUTOMATIC QUADRILATERAL MESH GENERATION

FOR SIMULATION OF SHEET METAL FORMING

BASED ON NC TRACK DATA

Abstract: Based on NC track data of tool surface, an automatic quadrilateral mesh generation method is proposed, This method first make use of maximum deviation of chordal length to delete redundant points on NC track curves, then redistribute points on curves according to approximate feature of adjacent NC curves. Finally complete quadrilateral meshes are generated. Numerical experiment is carried out to verify the validity and efficiency of this method.
