Abstract: Friction and wear tests of natural tooth in sliding against
TA2 titanium ball are carried out. Friction and wear behaviour of
different layer surfaces of the natural tooth are performed by
microscopic examination. Results show that outer enamel of corona dentis
has an excellent tribological resistance, and mixed layer between enamel
and dentine zone has better abrasive resistance than dentine zone.
