Abstract: PIV
techniques are used to measure the flows in a model pump sump and an
improving one with a T-type baffle. The experiment results are compared
with each other. Then conclusion can be obtained that the model pump
sump with a T-type baffle can reduce the occurrence of the vortex and
improve the performance of the pump system.
