RESEARCH ON ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION CHARACTERISTIC FOR HIGH INERTIA LOADS

Abstract: The smoothness of acceleration and deceleration process is a serious problem in valve control system with high inertia loads. The meter-in and meter-out independent regulating valve control unit is applied. Based on this unit, a grading control algorithm in dynamic process of high inertia loads is put forward. After the velocity approaches its command, a state feedback control algorithm based on parameters on line estimating is employed to guarantee both its velocity accuracy and the smoothness of dynamic process. Experiments show that the actuator’s velocity could increase or decrease to its command accurately, smoothly and rapidly after the above unit and algorithms are applied.
