OPTIMIZATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL PARAMETERS

FOR PROFILE EXTRUSION PROCESS

Abstract: A new method for design optimization of technological variable in profile extrusion process is proposed, which integrates FE simulation technique, artificial neural network and genetic algorithm and lays out position of a non-symmetric angle aluminum profile extrusion die. The comparison between computing results and experiment ones indicated that the optimal modal is effective and correct. The extrusion process is done by numerical simulation on the above base, the mesh distortions of different stages of the extrusion process are described in detail. The distributions of stress and strain fields are also obtained. It is significant to direct the extrusion technology and die designing of optimization.
