Abstract: Undercut phenomenon of the logix gear is analyzed. The
function to calculate the least tooth number of the logix gear avoiding
undercut is developed. The least number doesn’t reach its maximum at the
top of the gear tooth by the calculation, it reaches its maximum at the
point near the middle of the tooth. Then it is testified by the computer
simulation.
