Abstract: The performance of continuously variable trans-mission (CVT)
and its effect factors are investigated by experimental method. An
experimental device of the CVT is designed and manufactured, an
electro-hydraulic control system is built, and a performance test bench
of the CVT is established. The performance experiment of the CVT is
carried out. The experiment results show that transmission ratio, input
torque, and oil pressure in pulley cylinder have great influence on the
performance of the CVT, and the efficiency of the CVT is related to
transmitted torque, oil pressure in pulley cylinder, transmission ratio
and input rotary speed .
