Abstract: The forging process of blade with a tenon is simulated and
analyzed by using a 3-D FEM code developed in order to obtain forming
laws in the precision forging process of blade. Physical modeling
validates the results of numerical simulation using plasticine as
modeling material. A good agreement of numerical simulation results and
physical modeling results shows that the results of the numerical
simulation are reliable in the forging process of blade with a tenon.
This study is important to optimum design of the billet in the precision
forging process of blade.
