CONTROLLABLE SHOCK ABSORBER WITH

Abstract: As a damping force controllable absorber, magneto-rheological (MR) absorber is rapid-response and suitable for vibration control system. Following the analysis of the characteristics of damping force of MR absorber  a new nonlinear hysteresis-vjscous model is proposed to describe the force characteristics of MR absorber and the vibration control performance of MR absorber is confirmed with the experimental. The results show the new nonlinear model can better describe the characteristic of MR absorber and MR absorber can satisfy the request of vibration system in the damping force.
