Abstract:  The high-speed multicycle impact and speed, load fluctuant characteristics is a key factor that has inflnence on reststance to wear and resistance to multicycle impact for automotive engine chain . The main wear mechanism of automotive engine chain is form, extend and flaking of crack for top layer of pin and bush, and its change rule of wear curve is different trorn mediurn-low speed drive roller chain 's. The effective methods that increases resistance to multicycle impact for roller are to ensure that the roller has sufficient strength and plasticity and to adopt suitable shaped technics.

Key words: Automotive chain  Wear curve  Fatiguewear  Resistance to multicycte impact  Plastic deformation  Cycle feature
