Abstract: Aimed at the problem of the lower pulse width modulating
frequency of the present high-speed on-off valves, an attempt at
developing a new kind of electro-hydraulic high-speed on-off valve
driven by piezoelectric components is done. And the valve’s dynamic and
static performances are studied. The prototype of the new valve is the
kind of 2-position and 3-way poppet-type digital valve which can control
flow rate of 8 L/min at 10 MPa pressure, whose opening time is about 1.2
ms and whose closing time is approximately 1.7 ms. The driving circuit
of this valve and its working principle are also analyzed, and the
high-powerful and speedy technique of the valve is researched by the
transient state analyzing theory of circuit.
