Abstract: Based
on the kinematical analysis of two generally used suspension–wheel
systems, a mathematical method for calculating the envelope of the
bounced and rotated wheel is established. A design system of cars’ front
wheel housing is developed on the main software platform widely used by
current automobile industry, in order to conform to the compact-type
package of the cars.
