Abstract: By using the finite element method to simulate the sliding
contact process of TiNi shape memory alloys with pseudoelasticity, it
has been found that under the same yield limit and same load, the
maximum Von Mises stresse created beyond the surface of TiNi alloys
increases with the increasing Young modulus and the maximum Von Mises
plastic strain has the same law, but the maximum Von Mises elastic
strain behaves a converse tendency. Connecting the results with the
smart tribological property of TiNi shape memory alloys, it is
considered that the smart tribological property is the reason why TiNi
shape memory alloys possesse high wear resistance .
