Abstract: The buildup of the cutting force monitoring system is
discussed and the important parts of the system in typical machining are
pointed out. The performance indexes of the dynamometer based on
piezoelectric effect are discussed. The parameters affecting each
performance index are optimized. The problems of sensors’ intercross and
multi-signals’ collection, preprocess, display and post-processing and
solving methods are presented. Functions of the software of the
monitoring system and the method of experiment to validate it are also
introduced.
