CRITERIA OF METAL DUCTILE FRACTURE AND

NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR METAL FORMING

Abstract: Some criteria of metal ductile fracture are introduced, including empirical criteria derived from experiments and criteria based on continuum damage mechanics. In finite element simulation for large deformation, crack generation and propagation can be modeled by element deletion, element split and element separation, which are investigated. Applied some criteria and element deletion method, fracture occurred is simulated in sheet blanking, orthogonal metal cutting and cold forward extrusion processing.
