Abstract: Illumination model plays an important role in image
measurement of free-form surface based on vision. The principle and
character of three local illumination models, they are Phong,
Torrance-Sparrow and Cook-Torrance models, are introduced. By use of
nonlinear least square optimizing method, the illumination parameters of
the models are determined. And with statistics analytical principle,
regression analyses on the illumination models are made. Comparing
Torrance-Sparrow model with others, an improved illumination model for
fast measurement of free-form surface is put forward.
