Abstract: The spindle system of a NC surface grinding machine is
simplified as elastic-coupling beam, and the coupled subsystem of the
bearings is supposed as springs without mass. Then the analytical models
of the frame and the rotor subsystem with inhomogeneous boundary
condition are established, and their modal kinetic and potential energy
are also got respectively. By synthesizing subsystem method with
Lagrange’s equation, the dynamic model of the spindle system is
obtained. Finally, according to the actual condition, a dynamic absorber
is designed and the results of simulation and experiment show that the
amplitude of spindle can be declined by 30 percent when the dynamic
absorber is attached.
