Abstract: Efficient case retrieval is a key factor in case-base
design. A case retrieval algorithm is proposed which uses the volume
ratio of 3-dimension component and its bounding box to extract feature
values. It can deal with irregular shape components. The first step is
pose normalization based on the analysis result of irregular component
shape. Next to partition component for compute volume ratio and build
similarity evaluation model. The retrieval result provides correlation
feedback. At last an indexing scheme is proposed based on similarity
evaluation model.
