Abstract: The vehicle’s handling and stability has close relationship
with the driver’s characteristics. So, for studying the vehicle’s
handling and stability, the vehicle should be considered in the
human-vehicle closed-loop system. Based on the achievements of the
author and his research group, the progress of the human-vehicle
closed-loop system is systemically introduced. It includes driving
simulator driver model, the evaluation index of the human-vehicle
closed-loop system and optimization of the human-vehicle system using
the evaluation index.
