Abstract: The development of acoustic infinite element method is
rapid in recent years. Compared to the other methods in exterior field
besides boundary element method, the efficiency of acoustic infinite
element is very superior. Thus this method can handle the full range of
frequencies and structural complexities. Essentialize the introduction
of acoustic infinite element method, principle and early acoustic
infinite element method. Then the recent acoustic infinite element
method as four types is classified by the novelty and attention and
essentialize each method’s principle, the problems and the answer.
Finally, the expectation of acoustic infinite element method is
described.
