Abstract: The law of strip surface roughness formation as well as its influence factors is analyzed thoroughly by test and statistical research of surface roughness of work roll and steel strip, the mathematics model to predict strip surface roughness and the mathematics model to estimate the transferring ratio are established by means of stepwise regression, finally the model of roll surface roughness attenuation rule is established. The models can be used to predict strip surface roughness, arrange steel strip rolling order reasonably, decide the time of work roll off mill and modify the calculation model of rolling force.
