Abstract: In order to research a automatic shift car with torque
converter as a starter and lower speed transmission system, and metal
pushing belt as a higher transmission equipment, on the base of torque
converter performance experiment, the dynamic simulation model on a car
with a hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission is
established and integrated control strategy on the metal belt are
proposed. The characteristics on the ratios of torque converter and
metal belt is analyzed during a cruise driving. The results can provide
a theoretic method to design a car with a hydro-mechanical continuously
variable transmission system.
