FAULT DIAGNOSIS OF CRACKED ROTOR BASED ON AMPLITUDE AND PHASE WAVELET MAP

Abstract: The dynamic equation of cracked rotor is modelled, which is based on the simple hinge crack model and the local flexibility theorem. The numerical simulation solutions of the uncracked rotor and the cracked rotor are obtained from the model, the phase of Fourier transform is calculated. By the continuous wavelet transform, the amplitude and phase wavelet map features of the uncracked rotor and the cracked rotor are investigated. A new detection algorithm using amplitude and phase wavelet map to identify the crack is proposed. The influence of scale factor on the accuracy and validity of the amplitude and phase wavelet map is analyzed through simulation research; the preferred scale factor is suggested. Experiments verify the availability and validity of the amplitude and phase wavelet map in identification of cracked rotor for engineering practices.
