Abstract: In order to give an interface between the composite triangular Bézier surface (TBS) model and rapid prototyping (RP) system,and to integrate the reverse engineering (RE) & RP system,a methodology is proposed that a STL interface file can be generated directly from composite TBS according to a given tolerance. This methodology is realized in a prototype software system. It can improve the application of RE and RP technology.
