Abstract: A numerical simulation method based on the flow dynamic
model is introduced to study the dynamic characteristic of the small
hydraulic bumpers. The results of numerical simulation under different
work conditions are coincided with the experimental data well. The
relationship between kinetic parameters and the maximum capability of
absorbed energy is investigated. The numerical simulation could be
applied to instruct the type-selecting and optimum design of hydraulic
bumpers.
