Abstract: The simultaneous structural and control optimization of
flexible linkage mechanisms based on noise attenuation is discussed. The
thickness of the links and the parameters of control system are taken as
the design variables simultaneously. The sum of the weighted structural
mass and weighted controlled system energy terms is taken as the
performance index. Optimization is carried out based on the modified
constrained variable metric method. At last, a simulation is carried out
to demonstrate the validation of the new method.
