Abstract: More and more journal bearings operate in turbulent regime
in modern turbine machinery. The advanced combined Reynolds stress
turbulent lubrication model is used to analyse the perforance of journal
bearing. The database of turbulent lubrication parameters is established
to improved the application of the combined Reynolds stress model in
engineering more conveniently. The study results have good agreement
with existing experimental measurements. And the effects of operating
conditions on bearings’ turbulent performance are discussed.
