Abstract: The definition of scroll
compress profile rotation error sensitivity is put forward. According to
the geometrical relation between profile rotation error sensitivity and
radial mesh clearance, the computation method of radial mesh clearance
under non-ideal state of orbit scroll rotation is provided. In addition
the effects of profile type, profile normal angle and orbit scroll
rotation angle on the radial mesh clearance are analyzed and then and
example is given to show the result. On the basis of the profile type
and the correlation between profile normal angle and orbit scroll
rotation angle, not only a new reference index estimation profile
performance is obtained but also the criterion foerror sensitivity
region and blunt region is developed. According to this criterion, the
assurance measurement for controlling profile error in the sensitive
region is prsented. This measurement consequently plays a guiding role
for reducing mesh clearance and enhancing the compressor seal.
