RESEARCH ON ACCURACY OF MACHINING ROTARY CUTTING TOOL BASED ON LINE INTERPOLATION

Abstract: Linear interpolation is used widely in multi-axis NC machine. A computational model is presented for cutting edge width error in machining rotary cutting tool with zero cutting edge. It gives an attention to analysis on accuracy of cutting edge width, which is formed by two geometrical bodies—— the outer circle and taper surface of grinding wheel. An improving accuracy method is also proposed. On the other hand, a CL calculating principle of across node is firstly provided. It is simple and reliable. According to this principle, the surface accuracy of workpiece may be improved.
