Abstract: In order to improve the space utilization rate of rolling piston compressors, a new cavity is hollowed out in its rotor, and a stator, which is concentric with the cylinder, is installed in the cavity with a vane. So the inner wall of the hollow rotor and the outer wall of the stator enclose a new working cavity. Thus the space utilization rate and the displacement for the machine could be increased while the diameter of its cylinder remains constant. Compared with the traditional rolling piston compressor, the proposed one has higher effective volume and will be widely applied.
