Abstract: The laminated object manufacturing is a representative rapid prototyping technology. The interlaminar stress and warpage deformation of LOM are researched and analyzed deeply. A simplify model is proposed to describe the adhesive process and the calculation formulae of interlaminar stress are deduced by means of analyzing the model. Based on the experiment results, two kinds of main forms of warpage deformation are presented. It is the first time that a describing model of warpage deformation process is presented and it is believed that equivalent moment caused by interlaminar stress is the primary reason of warpage deformation. Improvement methods for decrease of stress and deformation of prototypes are provided.
