EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF AIR IMPACT MOLDING MACHINE COMBINED WITH AN AIR-PUSHED

Abstract: The sand compaction mechanism of air impact molding machine combined with an air-pushed contour squeeze head, which was recently invented, is demonstrated. For the new machine, air impact compaction and impact compaction of the air-pushed contour squeeze head are simultaneously carried out, and these two types of compaction are performed at the same working place, in the same working procedure, and with the same compressed air power. The process and mechanism of sand compaction are elucidated. The experimental results indicate that the sand compaction effects of this new type of air impact molding machine are ideally perfect, high and uniform mold compactability being obtained. This new air impact molding machine completely overcomes the disadvantages of the present single air impact molding machines, and greatly extends the application scopes of air impact molding technology. And it is a new molding machine of simple design, high speed, excellent efficiency, lower energy consumption and smaller investment.
