RESEARCH ON THE RELATION BETWEEN KR-CURVE OF CRACK EXTENSION RESISTANCE AND
SAMPLE THICKNESS

Abstract: A mathematical formula for the relation between resistance curve of crack extension and sample thickness is obtained in fracture mechanics, which is based on the theoretical resistance curve of crack extension provided in a previous work. Some parameters in the formula are made certain in the least square method by using a few of test results. Finally, the mathematical expression is verified by adopting some test results and it will supplement data to the current handbook which has been short of test data.
